Rosemary Margaret Borkowski

Rosemary Margaret Borkowski, 95, formerly of Suscon, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Allied Services Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Jenkins Township, on May 24, 1930, she was the daughter of the late George Brostowski and Amelia Ascani Brostowski Stanish.

She was a graduate of Dupont High School and worked in the local garment industry.  She was a member of the ILGW Union. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Borkowski; step-father, Stanley Stanish; grandfather, Joseph Ascani; sisters, Angeline Plis and Irene Kasa.

Surviving are her children, Edward Borkowski and his wife Debra, Forty-Fort and Lisa Lokuta and her husband, Joseph, Old Forge; grandson, Ryan Borkowski and his wife, Katie, Back Mountain; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Lokuta, Edwardsville; great-grandson, Benjamin Borkowski; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family extends a special thank you to Allied Services Hospice Center nurses and staff for the wonderful care they provided to Rosemary. 

The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 8:30am-9:30am in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Avenue, Dupont.  Interment, parish cemetery.
