Ruth A. Fino, 84, co-owner of Fino’s Pharmacy, Dallas, Pennsylvania, passed away May 14, 2021, surrounded by family in Holmdel, Monmouth County, New Jersey.

Born in Pittston, PA on March 11, 1937, she was the second eldest daughter of the late Simon and Anna Wierbowski.
Ruth and her late- husband, Dominic “Bobby”, co-founded Fino’s Pharmacy, Dallas, and consistently contributed to the community of the Back Mountains' business and social fabric for over 55 years. She enjoyed volunteering for the Dallas Lions Clubs as a Lioness and the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and the Pink Ladies. She was also a faithful member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas, where she would be seen at most 5PM Saturday masses.
When Ruth wasn’t busy with the community, she enjoyed playing a round of golf at Fox Hill Country Club in Exeter. If she wasn’t on a golf course with her girlfriends, she could be found spending her time with her grandchildren at their many sporting events. As years passed, Ruthie and her husband spent the colder months in Naples, Florida, where their time was spent admiring the golfers from their lanai, finding all the great jewelry at The Best of Everything and collecting sea shells along the Sanibel shore line. However, the majority of her time was spent creating memories with her three children, their spouses, her five grandchildren and numerous four legged grandchildren.
Ruth was an incredible wife, mother, and “Mom-Mom”, and will be greatly missed by all that had the fortune of knowing her. Ruthie was an extraordinary person that lived life to the fullest and brought tremendous joy and love to her friends and family. She was an extremely gracious and kind person that made everyone feel important and special.
Surviving are her children, Leanne Fino Brassington and her husband, Richard , Holmdel, NJ, and their children, Sarah Ann and Richard Dominic; Dominic P. Dear Fino Family,
Very sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing. She was such a nice person and always greeted everyone with her wonderful smile. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
God Bless, Neil & Elizabeth Dougherty
I grew up with Ruth and Bob, visiting the pharmacy with my Dad. I have wonderful memories of those days. Ruth was always loving and caring to any child that entered the pharmacy. But I felt very special because of Ruth.
A beautiful soul has left us and she will be missed. My love and prayers for peace to the family.

We hope Ruthie knew what a blessing she was to those who knew her. She was "family" to us, her cousins, and so many others. She was "there" through the good and sad times for her immediate and extended family. She was like a sister to us and stepped in to help when she felt an extra hand was needed or a gathering needed some humor or wisdom. Cousin Ruthie exemplified the true meaning of "family". Her happy reunion with Bobby, Mother Ann and others gives us hope and joy, but we will miss Ruthie's earthly presence and the joy she gave so generously. Mike and Joyce Mercincavage and Family
Aunt Ruthie not only was my loving aunt, she was my godmother and the matron of honor in my wedding. Whenever we got together it was always a good time. Her wit, sense of humor and entertaining character made our times together memorable. Ed and I would visit with Aunt Ruthie and Uncle Bobby when they put on their “snowbird” hats and ventured down to Florida. I will always hold dear the gift she left me; treasured memories locked away in my mind and heart. She is now with our angels in heaven. 😇 Rest In Peace Aunt Ruthie! I love you!
