Ruth Ann Nardone, 82, of Old Boston Section of Jenkins Township, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023 in Wesley Village.
Born in Dupont on February 2, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Gorman and Jeanette Frounfelker Francis.
Ruth was a graduate of Avoca High School. In her earlier years, she had worked at the Eddyleon Chocolate Company in Moosic.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert (Abie) Nardone in 2021; brothers, Joseph and Clinton Francis and sisters, Margaret Stanton, Norma Latorre and Eva Masher.
Surviving are her sons, James Albert Nardone and Peter Anthony Nardone both of Old Boston; brother, James Francis (Joan), Pittston; sisters, Pamela Gechunis, Old Forge; and Vivian Wanalista (Jay), CA; sister-in-law, Clara Scavo, Old Forge; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Geisinger’s Henry Cancer Center, Wesley Village, and Compassus Hospice Care.
Honoring Ruth Ann’s wishes the will be no viewing, everyone is invited to the funeral Mass.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 10am in St. Maria Goretti Church, 42 Redwood Drive, Laflin. Interment, Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, Pittston.
