Scott Douglas Deeble

Scott Douglas Deeble, 61, of Pittston, passed away unexpectedly at home Friday, August 11, 2023.

Born in Pittston on March 2, 1962. He was the son of the late Melbourne and Grace Casterlin Deeble. Before moving to Pittston, he spent most of his life in Hughestown.

Scott was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and Luzerne County Community College. He retired from working in customer service and communications and was formerly employed at Keystone Automotive and Adelphia and RCN.

Scott enjoyed old movies, antiques, drawing, concerts, singing and listening to music. In his earlier years he loved to travel, and his favorite trip was where he spent 2 weeks traveling Europe's countryside and visiting many historical locations.

Scott was a gentle soul and will be remembered for his kind heart and ability to love others no matter what. He loved all the memories of years of family gatherings and being a part of a large family. He was a hugger and always the first to say I love you to others. Although he never had children of his own, he adored his nieces and nephews as if they were his very own, and he was very proud of all of them. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Deeble, and a brother-in-law Jody Newcomb.

Surviving are his sisters, Linda George, Pittston and Nancy Newcomb, Pittston Township; brother, Ronald Deeble, Dupont; sister-in-law, Susan Deeble, Shavertown; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday, August 17, 2023, from 5pm-7pm in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
