Theresa DePasquale McNamara of Exeter passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026. She had been a resident at Highland Manor, Exeter.

Theresa was born in Pittston on January 21, 1931. Theresa was preceded in death by her husband Thomas McNamara on March 28, 2023.
She was the daughter of the late Giacomo (Jack) and Calogera (Carrie) Augello DePasquale. In addition to her parents and husband, Theresa was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters; Angeline DePasquale, Attorney Guy DePasquale, Justine DePasquale, Josephine Sciandra, Dolores Melore, Joseph DePasquale and Dr. Sam DePasquale.
Theresa entered the convent, the religious order of Filippini Sisters in Morristown New Jersey, in February 1948 and received her habit in June 1949. She made her final profession on August 31, 1952. She withdrew from the order in June 1963 and continue to teach in Mechanicsburg. It was in Mechanicsburg where she met Tom her Husband and they were married in 1970. Shortly after they were married Tom was transferred to Greensboro North Carolina and they lived there until retirement and moved to Exeter in 2000. Theresa enjoyed baking, playing the piano and she also was an avid animal lover, she especially cherished her dogs and was happiest in their company.
Theresa is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Theresa’s family extends a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Highland Manor and Compassionate Care Hospice for the care they provided to Theresa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday June 4, 2026 at 10AM in the Parish of St. Barbara, 28 Memorial St., Exeter.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 9AM until the time of mass, in the church.
Interment will be in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
