Theresa R. Blasavage, 94, of Hughestown, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital just as a brilliant Autumn sun was setting.

Born in Nanticoke on October 21, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Gerard and Rose Gregorio Cellucci. She was a graduate of Hughestown High School where she met her husband, of 49 years, Leonard.
For many years she worked at S.S. Kresge Company in Pittston and later worked at Lady Carol Dresses, Duryea. Theresa was a devout Catholic and attended services into her final years.
Through her faith she taught, “two wrongs don’t make a right”, “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all” and in the end, left us with “what will be, will be”. Theresa loved gardening and crocheting. Her flower beds were admired by all. She made countless afghans many of which will keep her loved ones warm for years to come. She loved to cook and bake for her family. Ravioli, piggies, potato pancakes and zucchini bread among her specialties.
Being a grandmother and a great grandmother was her greatest joy in life. Theresa adored her grand and great grandchildren and they, her. She was the best babysitter, tear dryer, card game teacher, puzzle piece finder, sports attending/cheerleader, family arbitrator and confident.
She will be forever missed by the many who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents and step-father, Tony Delconte, she was preceded in death by her husband Leonard P. Blasavage, daughter-in-law, Joanne Blasavage, sister, Rita Cellucci, brother, Mario Cellucci, and her nephew Tony Delconte.
She is survived by her children; daughter, Linda Tuminelli, Hughestown, son, Leonard C. Blasavage, Pittston, grandsons; Joby Tuminelli and Leonard P. (Lenny) Blasavage and his wife Mallory, great-grandsons; Kolby Tuminelli, Lenny Blasavage and Gavin Blasavage, brother, Tony Delconte and his wife Kathy, nieces; Arlene Herron and Deanna Delconte, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday December 7, 2025 at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William St., Pittston, from 3PM-5PM, services will conclude with a Blessing from Fr. Louis Grippe.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
