Virginia (“Jean”) Marie Zwirek, 94, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving daughters, on Dec. 5, 2021.
She was born Aug. 4, 1927 in Exeter, the daughter of the late Samuel and Josephine (Petrillo) Rome.
She was a graduate of Exeter High School, Class of 1944. Virginia was a devoted wife to her beloved husband of 65 years, the late John Zwirek. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with family. She was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
She was a member of Parish of St. Barbara at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Rome.
Surviving are her daughters, Jean Marie Casey, Conshohocken, and Joanne Goodman
(Bill), Collegeville; grandchildren, John Casey (Kristen), Kristina Oldham (Patrick), Victoria Goodman and David Goodman; great-grandchildren, Harper Virginia, Lilliana and Tate; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Juliette and Nino for caring for Virginia at home this last year.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with entombment in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, 3401 Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19104 or to Oblates of St. Joseph, 1880 PA-315, Jenkins Township, PA 18640.
