Salvatore Alaimo, 97, of Yatesville, passed away peacefully Saturday November 15, 2025 at Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Pittston on February 12, 1928 he was the son of the late Angelo and Carrie Latona Alaimo. Salvatore enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, he honorable and heroically served in World War II and the Korean War. He later received an honorary degree from Pittston Area High School. After his military service, he began his career at the United Sta
