Born in Meshoppen, on August 14, 1950, he was the son of the late Donald L Brunges, Sr. and Grace (Dymond) Brunges. He attended West Side Vo-Tech and worked as a heavy equipment operator for Jacoby Excavating.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lillian Brunges and his son, Donald L.
