Helen Jean Dougherty, 89, of Hughestown passed away Monday, December 5, 2016 in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Pittston on July 5, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Helen Connell Ruschel. She was a graduate of St. John’s High School, Pittston. She was a member of the former Blessed Sacrament Church, Hughestown and Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish, Pittston. She and her late husband, William P. Dougherty, enjoyed spending time at their Mountain Lake Home

Marion Coleman Dougherty, 97, formerly of Hughestown, peacefully passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 while at the Mercy Center, Dallas. Born in Scranton on November 26, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Catherine Dunleavy Coleman. She was a graduate of Scranton High School. Marion resided in Hughestown all of her married life. She was a former member, and a daily communicant at Blessed Sacrament Church in Hughestown and a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish,
