Born in Pittston, Pennsylvania, on December 1, 1936, Joan was the daughter of the late Helen Kelly Walsh and Joseph Walsh. She attended Saint Ann’s Academy and Lackawanna College. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Joan dedicated much of her life to serving others through volunteer work supporting Catholic education
